Beach-fx is a probabilistic life cycle analysis model for evaluating performance and economic benefits of beach nourishment projects on sandy coastlines. The model calculates beach morphology evolution with storm related asset damage over the course of a project. Beach-fx provides output detailing all asset and beach morphology behavior in the form of csv files readily readable by data analytics software.
Currently Version 1.1.12 is the latest version, but we will be renaming it Version 3 soon.

Chief’s Reports:
The majority of all USACE coastal storm risk management studies that employ beach nourishment apply Beach-fx. These studies result in a Chief’s Report. These reports for coastal storm risk management can be found at: https://planning.erdc.dren.mil/toolbox/library.cfm?Option=Direct&Group=Main&Item=Chief%20Report&Sub=None&Sort=YearDesc
Validation cases are forthcoming.

Version updates will be available at the CHL website in the near future.
Beach-fx is designed for sandy, open coasts for analysis of beach nourishments, armoring, or non-structural measures.
