RECOVERY version 5.0 is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers screening-level contaminant fate and transport model for assessing long-term impacts of contaminated bottom sediments on surface waters and ecological resources. The model was developed to provide exposure data for risk assessment of contaminated sediment sites and to screen remedial alternatives, in particular, no action, monitored natural recovery or enhanced monitored natural recovery, residuals management, and capping. The model has been successfully employed in projects including environmental dredging, capping design, and environmental assessments.
